To Clarify Purpose of Blog

I failed to mention that the purpose of this blog is to improve the effectiveness of teaching mathematics. It is NOT a forum for complaining about how adjuncts "don't get no respect" or other negative comments.

First Entry

This is the first entry, hopefully of many, in this blog.
The purpose of the blog is to connect adjunct mathematics instructors in ways that will allow them to share mathematics teaching ideas. It should serve as both a discussion board and as a source of links to information regarding mathematics teaching.
While focused on mathematics teaching, perhaps many of the good-teaching principles discussed here could be easily adapted to non-mathematics classes.
